There are two very different ways of believing, even independently from the religion somebody belongs to: This first kind of faith is this trust we talked about that that does not need to be argued for nor can be proven. It is being expressed in faithful sentences as: “I belong to God, if I live or die”. Or: “Nothing can separate us from the love of God”. This faith connects. It brings me into connection with everything that lives.

The other kind of faith tries to find fixed answers, dogmen of faith, that then have to be held as true, like: “The rabbi and carpenter Jesus from Nazareth is the savior sent by God for the whole world. Only if you have faith, which means believes this, will you be saved. ” This kind of faith, the “holding to be true”, always excludes a big portion of possibilities. This kind of faith always has to separate itself. And often there is dispute about those faith dogmen that have to be believed as true. Sometimes to the point of initiating wars based on different faiths.

The faith that Jesus talks about was the trust in God’s endless possibilities.
