“We are an ecumenical Christian Church community in Atlanta,
that shares the German language, music and culture and is open to all
who want to participate”
We meet every Sunday for worship at 11am at our host church in the “Rudisill Hall”, ground floor:
Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 731 Peachtree Street, Atlanta, GA 30308.
We are open to anybody who wants to visit us and be part of a worship experience in German.
- May be you want to improve your German, reconnect with your German history and roots or
- prepare for spending time in Germany.
- Our church members are mostly German individuals and families who are open to any visitors and guests.
- However, we also have members who have learned German later in life and cherish the German culture and language.
Every few months we also have a new member orientation if you are interested in joining our community.
During every worship service the Bible readings and the sermons are translated into English and can be read alongside the spoken Bible text and sermon in German. The songs and the liturgy are being offered in German language. Anybody can join in as able. We provide the sermon and readings also in English language to read along.
We are exclusively sponsored by donations from members, friends and supporters and do not receive any financial support from the EKD (Evangelische Kirche Deutschland).
During the service there will be a collection for the work of the church. At the end of the year you will receive a donation receipt for your tax return if you have paid your offering by check or attached your name to the cash amount given.
Anybody is invited to participate in our church community cultural events and worship gatherings as listed in the upcoming events.
Please, know that we are an inclusive church that wants to welcome and get to know you!
