What can I expect as a visitor?

Please, have a look at our Facebook page to see what we’re up to

and feel invited to send Pastor Dorothea dorotheakola@gmail.com your email

so you can receive our Newsletter.

“We are an ecumenical Christian Church community in Atlanta,

that shares the German language, music and culture and is open to all

who want to participate”

We meet currently online only,

due to the Corona Virus social distancing efforts.

We meet every Sunday for worship at 11am.

ONLINE WORSHIP SUNDAYS 11am (and beyond)

You can make a donation via Paypal:

Or you can send a check to: German Church Atlanta at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, 731 Peachtree Street, Atlanta, GA 30308.

We are open to anybody who wants to join us

and be part of a worship experience in German.

We translate most all elements of our worship also in English.

Maybe you have not been in a church for a long time, but enjoy our online services. Maybe you want to improve your German, reconnect with your German history and roots or prepare for spending time in Germany.

No matter what your background or interest might be, our church members are mostly German individuals and families who are open to any visitors and guests. We also have members who have learned German later in life, and who cherish the German culture and language.

Every few months the Church Council (below) offers a new member orientation. Please, let us know if you are interested in joining our community as members or friends.

Retreat 3

We are exclusively sponsored by donations from members, friends and supporters and do not receive  any financial support from the EKD (Evangelische Kirche Deutschland) or the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church of America).

If you donate to the German Church Atlanta, at the end of the year you will receive a donation receipt for your tax return. Make sure that we can identify your name and address when you are making your donation.

Please, know that we are an inclusive church that wants to welcome and get to know you!
