Eine große Bitte:

Liebe Freunde

‚Die Deutsche Kirchengemeinde‘ braucht dringend Eure Hilfe!  Unsere Gemeinde, die in der Pandemie so viele Mitglieder verloren hat, hofft sich in diesem Jahr endlich wieder aufzubauen.

Unsere Gemeinde – das sind jetzt leider nur noch etwa zehn Gemeindemitglieder, eine Pastorin und eine Organistin/Harfenspielerin – lebt z. Z. von unseren Ersparnissen und jeden Monat wird unser Sparkonto kleiner.

Wir brauchen neue Energie, neue Mitglieder! Neue und alte Freunde, die gewillt sind, sich zu für unsere Gemeinde in diesem kritischen Moment aktiv und auch (möglichst monatlich) finanziell zu engagieren. (Wir erhalten keine staatliche finanzielle Unterstützung)

Wenn wir dieses Jahr unsere Gemeindeglieder und Freundschaftszahlen nicht vermehren, wird 2023 für unsere Gemeinde vielleicht das letzte Jahr sein.

Und das wäre doch sehr traurig!

Seit 1734 gibt es deutsche Gemeinden in Georgia und seit 1990 gibt es unsere deutsche Gemeinde in Atlanta. Helft doch bitte mit, dass wir unsere 32  bzw. 300 Jahresfeier erreichen.

Nehmt teil an unseren vielfältigen kulturellen und spirituellen Aktivitäten, feiert unseren zweisprachigen Gottesdienst mit uns.

Otherwise, you have several options to continue or start your donations:

1. The easiest way is to use PayPal or Venmo. Once you are logged into your account, you only need our email address germanchurchatlanta@gmail.com to direct payments to the German Church in any amount. 2. If you do not have access to any of the two payment services, you can still mail your check made out to the “German Church Atlanta” to our physical address at Redeemer, 731 Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta, GA 30308. The Redeemer Church sends all mail to our treasurer Barry Spurlock who will then send you a tax deductible donation statement at the end of the year. 3. You can also set up an Automatic Bill Payer with your bank, which some of us do, so you do not forget to support your church every month, even when you are on vacation. How can you do this? This is dependent on your bank’s processes, but our church council will try to support you with the set-up.
